Who this agreement is between
These terms are the agreement between Huska, the business that operates this store from Canada and is referred to here as we or us, and you, the person browsing or buying from it. Placing an order means you accept them. To order you must be of the age of majority in your province, territory, state or country, and legally able to enter a binding contract. What Huska is, stated plainly
The Huska Plug-In Pest Deterrent is a deterrent. It plugs into a wall outlet and emits variable frequency ultrasound to make a room a less pleasant place for pests to spend time in. It does not kill, exterminate or eliminate anything, and we do not represent that it does. There is no poison, no bait and no trap involved, and nothing to empty afterwards.
Three honest limits follow from how the technology works, and we would rather you read them here than find them out later. Ultrasound does not travel through walls, floors or closed doors, and soft furnishings absorb it, so coverage is one device per room rather than one device per house. Results depend on your particular property, its layout, its construction, and what is drawing pests to it in the first place. And if you already have an established infestation, this device is not the answer to it. That is work for a licensed pest control professional, and we will say so rather than sell you a second set.
We make no claim of efficacy beyond that, and we invite you to hold us to it. This is exactly why the 90 day trial exists in the form it does. If the rooms are no quieter, one email gets your money back and we pay the return postage.
Ordering and acceptance
An order placed on this store is an offer to buy. We accept it when we dispatch the goods, and the contract forms at that point. We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch, for example where an item is out of stock, a price or listing was wrong, or an order appears fraudulent. If we cancel, we refund you in full and tell you why.
Prices, currency and payment
Prices are shown in your local currency while you browse and at checkout. In US dollars, the reference prices are $29.90 for one device, $59.80 for three, and $119.50 for six. Shipping is $10.00 on a single device and free on the three and six device orders, everywhere we ship: Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. Prices may change, but never for an order already placed.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. Your card is charged once, at checkout. There is no subscription and no recurring billing. Payment is handled by our payment provider, and we never see or store your full card number.
Cancellation
Email us before dispatch and we will cancel the order and refund it. After dispatch, the 90 day trial and the refund and returns policy apply, and that policy forms part of these terms.
Accuracy of listings
We take care to describe the product accurately, including its size, its power draw and its limits. Even so, errors happen and screens render colour differently. Where a listing carries an obvious error of price or description we may correct it and cancel any affected order with a full refund. Nothing on this site is a promise of a specific outcome in your home.
Acceptable use
Use the device as intended: indoors, in a standard wall outlet, on the supply voltage marked on it. Do not open, modify or attempt to repair it. Do not run it in a room housing hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, pet rodents or pet birds, since they can hear the frequencies it uses. As for this website, do not attempt to breach its security, scrape it at scale, resell our content, or use it unlawfully.
Intellectual property
The Huska name, wordmark, product design, photography, copy and page code belong to us and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without written permission, though you are welcome to quote from or link to our pages.
Warranty scope
The device carries a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defect from the date of delivery, set out in full in our refund and returns policy. Beyond that warranty and the trial, the product is supplied as it is. For the reasons stated above we give no warranty, express or implied, that it will produce a particular result on your property. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected by anything written here.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected with a purchase is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including property damage attributed to pests, loss of income, or the cost of engaging a pest control professional. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute. We would much rather settle it by email first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the business changes. The version published here when you place an order governs that order, so a later change never applies backwards. Material changes are reflected in the date shown on this page.
